Chadian Prime Minister Saleh Kebzabo has filed a complaint against journalist Éric Ngarlem Tolde for « defamation and insult and complicity in defamation and insult ».

This media man was arrested and was to appear before a judge on Monday, May 8, according to the lawyer for the head of government who held a press briefing yesterday to present the situation relating to his client’s complaint.

Tolde would have relayed a letter on social networks, in which a certain Hélène Doumro accuses the Prime Minister of sexual harassment of which she was the victim between 2013 and 2017.

Kebzabo did not limit himself to denying the information, but also to file a complaint against Doumro and other « accomplices » for « defamation and insult, and complicity in defamation and insult ».

“The public prosecutor has regularly transmitted this complaint to the National Directorate of Judicial Research in order to initiate a preliminary investigation. Summonses were therefore issued and the judicial police officer in charge of the case called each of the persons concerned,” said the lawyer.

But some sources indicate that Hélène Doumro has not been found since May 7. Case to follow.
