The Ivorian government, which brought together, on Wednesday June 15 in Abidjan, the technical partners to mobilize the public and private external financing necessary for the implementation of its National Development Plan (PND) for the period 2021-2025, announced , at the end of the meeting, an amount of 26.1 billion dollars of promises.
« For a mobilization objective for the financing of our public projects and our reforms which were set at approximately 17.4 billion us dollars, the announcements collected from our partners at this precise moment amount to 26.178 billion us dollars for the period 2021-2025, i.e. a mobilization rate of 168.25%”, welcomed Prime Minister Patrick Achi, referring to “a success well beyond” the expectations of the country.
The 2021-2025 PND financing requires an investment level of around 98 billion dollars, including approximately 69.7 billion USD (74%) for the private sector and 15 billion USD from bilateral and multilateral partners.
The head of government assured “partners and private investors that the execution of the PND 2021-2025 will be carried out in strict compliance with the principle of viability and sustainability of public debt”.

The 2021-2025 PND, the third under the presidency of Head of State Alassane Ouattara, after the 2012-2015 and 2016-2020 PNDs, is estimated at nearly 90 billion dollars. It aims for economic and social transformation which involves, among other things, the industrialization of the country, the development of the private sector and the attraction of investments, the fight against corruption, the reduction of poverty and inequalities. The aim is to improve the well-being of the population as a whole.
