Israel has announced, with satisfaction, the signing of a contract for the construction of the headquarters of its diplomatic representation in Rabat, the capital of Morocco.
« I am very happy to share this photo with you, which bears witness to one of the historic moments that I experienced with my team, the contract for the construction of the headquarters of the Permanent Embassy of Israel in Morocco having been signed, yesterday, with engineers and a Moroccan construction company”, wrote on Tweeter, this Tuesday August 2, David Govrin, the head of the liaison office of Israel in Morocco.
« We will thus begin and God willing, a new era, during which we will consolidate our distinguished relations with Morocco, » he continued.
Since the resumption of diplomatic relations between Israel and Morocco in December 2020 at the instigation of the United States, the two countries have continued to strengthen their cooperation, in particular through the signing of numerous agreements in various fields (economic, military, etc.). ).
Israel had reopened its liaison office in Morocco in January 2021, a few weeks after the signing of the agreement which led to the resumption of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
