The Gabonese President, Ali Bongo Ondimba, proceeded by decree, this Thursday, April 27, to a slight reshuffle of his government, while keeping the same number of ministers.
Two ministers who were no longer in office have been replaced. Michael Moussa Adamou, Minister of Foreign Affairs who died in January in Libreville, was replaced by Hermann Immongault who was Minister Delegate for Foreign Affairs.
The former Chief of General Staff of the Gabonese armed forces, Auguste Roger Bibaye Itandas, has been promoted to Minister of Transport, replacing Brice Constant Paillat, who resigned last March, a week after the sinking of a small ferry that killed 24 people.
Elvis Ossindji was removed from his post as Minister of Mines and Geology, to be replaced by Sylvestre Chen Mezui M’Obiang.
This slight reshuffle took place less than four months after the installation of the Alain-Claude Bilie-By-Nze government.
