Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has officially extended an invitation to Moroccan sovereign Mohammed VI to take part in the Arab League summit to be held on November 1 and 2 in Algiers.
His emissary, in particular the Algerian Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals, Abderrachid Tebbi, presented, on Tuesday, September 27, a letter of invitation to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans living abroad, Nasser Bourita, signed by the Algerian Head of State.
This gesture did not go unnoticed, given the tense relations that the two neighboring countries have had for years. The meeting between Abderrachid Tebbi and Nasser Bourita was the first of its kind since August 2021, the date of the breakdown of their diplomatic relations.
According to some sources, Mohammed VI was already ready to travel to Algiers even before receiving the official invitation.
