Did South African President Cyril Ramaphosa indulge in corruption when he made this endemic evil his hobbyhorse? This is what suggests a complaint filed, Wednesday, June 1 in a police station in Johannesburg, against him for “kidnapping” and “corruption”.

The initiative comes from a former head of South African intelligence, Arthur Fraser, who accuses the head of state of having kidnapped and interrogated thieves who came across an amount of 3.8 million euros “hidden in one of his properties in the northeast of the country.

“Today I have taken the unprecedented step of filing a complaint against His Excellency the President of the Republic of South Africa,” said the former civil servant, adding that “this complaint stems from the theft of (…) over 4 million hidden dollars” perpetrated on February 9, 2020.

Fraser persists and signs. According to him, the president not only « hid this crime » from the police and the tax authorities, but also « paid the culprits for their silence »; which constitutes « obstruction of justice ».

He would have accompanied his complaint with “evidence”, including “photos, bank accounts, names and videos”.
