The African Development Bank Group announces the launch of the first edition of its new report « Africa’s Macroeconomic Performance and Prospects », which will take place this Thursday, January 19, at its headquarters in Abidjan, the Ivorian capital.
The financial institution explains that “the publication intends to offer policymakers, global investors, researchers and other development partners, an up-to-date and evidence-based assessment of the continent’s latest macroeconomic performance, as well as future prospects. short and medium term, in a context of dynamic development of the world economy ».
This new report will be published annually in the first and third quarters. It will complement another flagship report of the Bank, « African Economic Outlook », which itself focuses on emerging issues relevant to Africa’s development, the AfDB also points out.
Among the high personalities who will be present at the launch ceremony are the President of the AfDB, Akinwumi Adesina, Minister of Planning and Development of Côte d’Ivoire, Niale Kaba, the Chief Economist and Acting Vice President of the AfDB , Kevin Chika Urama, and director of the Center for Sustainable Development at Columbia University, economist Jeffrey D. Sachs.
